2008
CHARITY
UPDATE
At the beginning of 2008 Panorama Holiday Group closed its sussex offices and sold off all the furniture to raise money for the charity, this generated £1200.

Euro carparks started their support to the Bombolulu School of Promise - they operate a give as you earn scheme were each member of staff was encouraged to donate one euro a month each. Being such a large employer in Ireland this has made a huge difference to our annual funding of the charity. They also funded two members of staff to visit in October 2008.

In May 2008 Paul (chairman), Jacqui (founder) and their daughter visited the school. A structured timetable was now in place replacing the enthusiastic chaos previously in operation. They negotiated an extension to the lease to 2016 with the ability to extend up to two further classrooms.

A new library was installed thanks to a kind donation from Mr Justin Fleming in memory of his wife Franzi. This has been a very smart addition to the school and increased the number of books so that all the pupils can see a book which is being read or taught from in class.

A volunteer, Lisa, spent three weeks working with the teachers and pupils during the year. She gave both her time and financial assistance for which we are very grateful.

We had our first Government Inspection in 2008 which declared our exam results as "above average" for which we are very proud and thank our teachers for their hard work and dedication.
